Description
Elijah Hobson was born 1839 in West Hallam, Ilkeston, Derbyshire. He attested into the 3rd Battalion, Rifle Brigade 21st December 1858.
He was awarded the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal after 20 years service. He served in excess of 27 years of which nearly 10 years were served in India with 1863 and 64 being specifically Northwest Frontier.
