Description
Earl of St. Vincent’s Medal 1800
The medal was designed by C.H. Kuchler after John Flaxman. The obverse features a uniformed bust of Admiral Jervis within a laurel wreath, with the legend “EARL ST VINCENT’S TESTIMONY OF APPROBATION 1800”. The reverse depicts a seaman shaking hands with a Naval Officer, with the words “Loyal and True”.
Silver medal, 48mm diameter, suspended of blue ribbon.
