Racinet’s fabulous “L’Ornement Polychrome” showcased, through an extensive series of fine chromolithographs, the development of the decorative arts and ornamental pattern work since early times. The plates depicted decorative patterns, designs and motifs, taken from interiors, ceramics, fabrics, manuscripts, frescos, mosaics and architectural features. They covered diverse historical periods and cultures from around the world. Racinet intended his work to serve as inspiration for interior designers and decorators.
Produced with exquisite Gold and Silver highlights.
These prints serve as inspiration for home decorators, designers, decorators and interior designers. Where available the print will be accompanied by the corresponding descriptive text – in French.
