Description
Sydney Ernest Burnett served on the pre-dreadnought battleship H.M.S. Britannia for most of the Great War.
Born August 1884 in Romsey, Hampshire he enlisted at Eastleigh in August 1903.
Medals: 1914/15 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal (PO. 13081 PTE. S. E. BURNETT. R.M.L.I.), Long Service and Good Conduct Medal (PO 13081 S. E. BURNETT. PTE. R. M. L. I.) with a silver named South Northants Tug of War medallion (1926 S.E. BURNETT) and an unnamed Royal Tournament Tug-of-War medallion.
